Former Knoxville Basketball Standout Sam Abens is playing in a different uniform this basketball season. After playing one season for N-C-A-A Division Two Southwest Minnesota State last year, Abens is now wearing the blue and gold of nearby William Penn in Oskaloosa. While the Lady Statesmen have stumbled out of the gates with an 0-3 start, Abens is averaging nearly ten points per game. William Penn is picked to finish fourth in the Midwest Collegiate Conference and is currently ranked 34th in the latest N-A-I-A Division two national poll.
