The Pella High boys cross country team will continue a tradition this weekend that began two years ago, following the last time the Little Dutch claimed a Class 3A State Title. The seven runners that represented Pella at the State Meet two weeks ago are running in the Nike Heartland Regional Cross Country Meet in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Alex Ropes, one of the senior runners for the Little Dutch says the meet is a great opportunity to compete against high-caliber teams that are even better than those they competed against at the State Meet. The Heartland Regional is one of eight regional meets sponsored by Nike that take place across the country.
