The Pleasantville girls basketball team returns to the hardwood tomorrow night to take on rival Carlisle in non-conference play. Trojans’ head coach Trevor Miller says the Wildcats are in a similar position to his squad at this point in the season.

“Carlisle will be a different team this year. Their 6’4” girl from last year graduated, [and] I think they’ve got a younger group coming in. I know their freshman class is really talented, and I’ve heard a couple of them will be playing up on the Varsity [team],” said Miller.

“I think it’ll be one of those teams where he’ll [Rick Flatt] have a team that gets better as the season goes, just because of the experience level. They’re kind of a lot like us, waiting to see who steps up and who does what.”

Pleasantville is 0-1 after falling in their season-opener to Eddyville-Blakesburg last Tuesday. Tomorrow night’s contest is the opening game of a Pleasantville girl/boy doubleheader at Carlisle, which will be streamed live at kniakrls.com.
