The members of the Central College basketball teams are trying to balance a few light practices with finals this week, as both programs prepare for non-conference action this coming weekend.  

The Central women have a short trip to make to Des Moines on Saturday, when they’ll take on AIB to try and break above .500 on the season and earn a fifth victory – which would equal their win total from last season.  

The Central men’s basketball team is also traveling this weekend, though quite a bit farther.  The Dutch are in San Juan Puerto Rico for a pair of games on Sunday and Monday before the holiday break.  The Central men have jumped out to a 7-1 start to the season.
