The Melcher-Dallas girls basketball team essentially split their first nine games of the season, going 4-5 overall, with all four of those wins coming in Bluegrass Conference play. Saints’ head coach Jon Suntken says the performance of his team in league games – particularly in three of the wins – has been great to see early on.
“Those wins were all really huge positives. To beat Moravia twice – here and there – beat them at our place in overtime and beat them by 12 at their place [was big],” said Suntken. “The win over Twin Cedars here – that was an unbelievably huge win for us. The girls really got after it and did a great job for most of the game that night.”
Melcher-Dallas returns with more Bluegrass Conference competition on the schedule on Tuesday, January 3rd, when they host Seymour.
