The second Shotgun Deer Hunting Season is currently underway in Iowa. DNR Conservation Officer Ken Kenyon tells KNIA/KRLS News that the public needs to remember that deer tags can’t be transferred. The deer tags are tied to the person they are issued to and can’t be given loaned or sold to another. He also says it’s a violation to have another person carry a deer tag for you, and you can only use your deer tag on another persons harvested deer if you are part of their hunting party. Additionally Kenyon advised that hunters should research and know all the regulations of a season before they participate. The current deer shotgun season ends on the 18th.
