Former Central College track and field standout Jill Ziskovsky Halcomb is one of four female finalists for the 2010-11 Duane Schroeder Iowa Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award.
She was a three-time team MVP and earned All-America honors seven times. In the classroom, Halcomb compiled a 3.94 GPA with a double major in communication studies and Spanish.
The Duane Schroeder Iowa Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award recognizes student-athletes that have demonstrated high levels of accomplishment and achievement in athletics and academics, while also serving the community.
If chosen as the winner, she would be the fourth Central College scholar-athlete to win the honor since the award’s inception in 2001.
