The Hormel plant in Knoxville is helping to fill the food shelves in Marion County. Yesterday, plant employees donated hundreds of pounds in food as well as more than $300 in cash donations to the KNIA/KRLS Food Drive. Hormel themselves helped out with an additional $500 for the food drive. All the food and donations will stay in Marion County. Hormel also donated $3000 to the Helping Hands Food Pantry. Plant Manager Troy Hawkshead says that he’s proud of his employees for doing such a great job again. The KNIA/KRLS Food Drive continues tomorrow at Iowa State Savings Bank from 9am-12pm.
