The annual Iowa Land Value Survey has been released. Statewide farm land values have skyrocketed in the last year with the average percentage gain of 32.5. In Marion county, land values have increased 29.6% to an average of $5,410 an acre. Tracy Gathman, Manager of Two Rivers Coop, attributes the increased land values to the strong farm economy. He says that Iowa farm economy has been the bright shining star in the state for the past four to five years. The Iowa Land Value Survey was initiated in 1941, and uses local and national resources to estimate land values. For more information about the annual survey results, Click HERE
