Though they’ve faced just two opponents in the Little Hawkeye Conference so far, the Pella Christian boys basketball team recognizes that they’ll have to battle in the always competitive league race.  

“I think, as always, this conference is going to be really even, and there’s going to be a lot of close basketball games. I think we’ve already seen that in some of the early games amongst some of the other teams,” says Eagles’ head coach Larry Hessing. “I think our players believe that they can play with anyone in our conference this season.”

The Pella Christian boys are 1-1 overall in the conference, with a win over Knoxville and a loss to Grinnell.  They’ll resume league play next Friday against Newton.
