The Pleasantville girls and boys basketball teams wrap up the first portion of the season tonight in Leon against Central Decatur. The Trojan girls are eagerly seeking their second win of the season, while the Pleasantville boys will try and avoid slipping up on a team they beat earlier in the season.

“I don’t know if I’d call this a ‘trap game’ or not. We beat Central Decatur pretty handily earlier in the year, [but] we’re dealing with 15, 16, 17-year-old kids – I just hope they don’t think we’re going to get on the bus and the game’s already over,” says Pleasantville boys coach Tom Wilkins.

“CD [Central Decatur] is well-coached, so I just hope we can come out and execute. If we do the things I know that we can do, I like our chances.”

Wilkins adds that it would be a nice early Christmas present for his team to build on their hot 7-0 start to the season. Both games will be streamed live on kniakrls.com, starting at 6:15 p.m. tonight.
