Turnovers and missed shots again proved costly for the Pleasantville girls basketball team; and a 25-point outburst by Central Decatur’s Bailey Boswell didn’t help matters, as the Trojans fell to the Cardinals 66-43 last night.

Mariah Zoss led Pleasantville in scoring, notching ten points in the loss. Pleasantville is now 0-4 overall and 0-1 in the Pride of Iowa Conference, entering Tuesday’s league contest with Wayne.

The Pleasantville boys basketball team not only survived three games in four nights to open the season, but came out unscathed, capped off by a 69-30 throttling of Central Decatur last night.

Hunter Van Haalen erupted for 22 points to lead the way for the Trojans, who will try and build on their 3-0 record on Tuesday against Wayne.
