Relay For Life, a national series of fundraising events for fighting cancer, is growing in Marion County. Melissa Stuit, a volunteer for Relay for Life told KNIA/KRLS News that they are looking volunteers to help run an event next September. The relay for life events are overnight affairs where teams of people trade off walking or running a track for 12 hours to raise money to fight cancer. Stuit also said anyone who is interested in forming a team to participate in the event should start now.
