Republican Candidates Coming To Pella

January 3rd is quickly approaching, and with it the Iowa Caucuses. Republican candidates are touring the state to promote themselves before the Iowa Caucus. Rick Santorum will be in Pella again on December 20th at Monarchs Restaurant from 9:00 AM till 10:00 Am for a free Q and A session. On December 28th Rick Perry will be at the Smokey Row Coffee Shop in Pella at 3:30 in the afternoon. Irene Blom, Marion County Republican Chair told KNIA/KRLS News that people should come to the events, and see what the different candidates stand for. KNIA/KRLS news will provide updates from the sites of the caucuses.

For those north of the river in Marion county, the Republican caucus will be held at Pella Christan High School and for those south of the river, the Republican Caucus will be at Knoxville High School. The doors will open at 6:00 with the actual process set to start at 7:00.

There are two locations in the county that will be holding Democrat caucuses. People that live in townships and precincts south of the river will convene at Knoxville Middle School. Those living in townships and precincts north of the river will convene at Lincoln Elementary School in Pella. The Democrat Caucuses will start at 7:00.
