The PCM girls and boys basketball teams will try and build on the momentum of a pair of lopsided wins over Colfax-Mingo on Tuesday night when they travel to Baxter tonight to face CMB.

Mustangs’ head coach Bret Grier says Tuesday’s win helped them build more belief in themselves, and says they’ll need that to continue tonight.

“[We’re working] on just playing with more confidence,” says Grier. “Sometimes that’s pretty tough to teach, but we’re going to have to learn to do that, because our girls are all really young. We’ve got juniors, we’ve got a sophomore, we’ve got a freshman, and being able to do that and then being able to learn on the run are going to be really big for us.”

On the boys’ side, PCM’s thumping of the Tigerhawks ended a two-game losing skid, and coach Fred Lorensen is hoping they can continue to push forward with another victory tonight.

Colin McDonnell will be live in Baxter to call the game, with coverage beginning at 5:45 p.m. on kniakrls.com.
