The Marion County Fair is still about six months away, but 4-H and FFA members are already prepping their projects across the county. Marion County Extension Youth Coordinator Mindy Kephart says 44 children weighed in 68 market beef animals earlier this week at the Knoxville Regional Livestock Market. Weights ranged from 305 to 980 pounds, and breeds included Chianina, Herefords, Angus, Simmentals, Shorthorns, and Maine-Anjou. The Marion County Fair is scheduled to run from July 13-July 19 in 2012.
