A week after the District assignments for the Class 1A and 2A boys postseason were released, the same groupings for Class 3A and 4A are now out; courtesy of the Iowa High School Athletic Association. Not surprisingly, Pella High and Knoxville’s boys teams are in the same District – but it is some of the other teams in the same Substate that will leave both teams with some serious challenges in February.

Among those included in Substate #7 are Little Hawkeye Conference front-runner Grinnell, and an 11-1 Iowa Falls-Alden team that has asserted itself as one of the top 3A teams in the state. The pairings and assignments for the Class 3A District Tournament will be released the week of February 6th.
