The Knoxville boys Basketball Squad was as frigid as the recent temperatures in Marion County as they fell to Chariton Saturday night 50-46. Neither team shot the ball well as the Chargers only held a 21-16 lead at the half. Free throw shooting kept the Panthers in the game as they went 20/28 from the line, but poor shooting down the stretch and too many turnovers kept Knoxville from victory. The Panthers had a chance to win in the late stages, however missed opportunities doomed them. Gerritt Davis led all scorers with 18 points as Knoxville falls to 1-13 on the season and will stay with South Central Conference opponents with a trip to Albia tomorrow night.
