The Knoxville Boys Basketball Squad had its heart ripped out of its chest last night as Oskaloosa got a driving lay in with less than a second remaining to take a hard fought 54-52 win. The Panthers lead by as much as ten points in the fourth quarter only to see the Indians come back by forcing the Panthers into turnovers due to their tight pressure defense. Knoxville Coach Jeff Larson said Osky’s press forcing Knoxville into eight fourth quarter turnovers was the key. Gerritt Davis, making his first career start for the Panthers led the team with 19 points, 16 in the first half while Erik Ryan had 12 points. Knoxville is now 1-8 on the season and 0-4 in conference play. The Panthers travel to Newton on Tuesday.
