Knoxville city employees didn’t have to go far to grab lunch Friday. Knoxville Police Chief Dan Losada once again helped organize the 7th annual city employee chili cookoff. Nine different City of Knoxville employees submitted chili dishes during the lunch hour. Others in the city offices as well as citizens that were passing by were invited to give all of them a try and choose their favorite. This year’s winner was Therese Augustin, who works in the police department. Augustin says her secret is emptying the kitchen cupboards and refrigerator. Deputy City Clerk Jodi Bassett was the runner-up.
