This Saturday is the Coaches vs. Cancer day in Knoxville. Activities get underway at Knoxville High School at 11 with several alumni games including a women’s six-on-six game. Other activities include the silent auction is which girls coach and organizer Jim Uitermarkt says has grown to nearly 300 items. He adds the T-shirt sales have exploded to over 500 orders. He says the City of Knoxville and surrounding areas has once again stepped up to make it another success. Utiermarkt stresses that all donations will go to the American Cancer Society. The night ends with a girls and boys basketball double header against Chariton.
