A 14-0 run to start the game was all Norwalk needed as the Knoxville Girls Basketball squad could not recover and fell to the Warriors 43-32. Knoxville struggled with Norwalk’s pressure defense all game and was forced into 22 turnovers, and struggled to find open shots going 7/44 from the field. Coach Jim Utiermarkt had concerns about Norwalk defense, and said the Warriors pressure and trapping style played out just as he thought it would. Meredith Cunningham scored 15 points to lead Knoxville, it was her second straight 15 point performance. Knoxville is now 1-11 on the season and 0-6 in the Little Hawkeye Conference. Knoxville travels to Carlisle this afternoon at four.
