Mark Doland, a resident of Oskaloosa announced his candidacy for the newly created Iowa State Senate District 40 seat earlier this week. He tells KNIA/KRLS News that he was born and raised in Iowa, and has spent many years working to help families. The new Iowa Senate seat was created after the 2010 Census, and includes the Pella and Oskaloosa area. Doland isn’t the only person to announce candidacy for the new seat; Ken Rozenboom, Republican Mahaska County Supervisor recently announced he would be running for the position.
