Continuing their post-holiday road trip, the PCM basketball teams again swept the opposition, as the Mustang girls claimed a 48-28 win and the boys followed suit with a 64-49 victory in Nevada last night.

Leading a balanced scoring attack for the PCM girls was Abbi Gilson, with 11 points. Mustangs’ head coach Bret Grier said he was also pleased with the play of Kaitlyn Wilkie, who added 9 points and played well at both ends of the floor. With the win, the PCM girls are now 8-4 overall and improve to 6-4 in league play.

Scott Bruxvoort had 25 points and Jordan Van Roekel added 19 to guide the PCM boys to a 15-point win over the host Cubs. Mustangs’ head coach Fred Lorensen says while they’re still not at the their potential yet, his team is making strides in the right direction. The PCM boys are 9-2 overall and 8-1 in the Heart of Iowa Conference. They’ll face Pella High this afternoon in non-conference play.
