With some new found confidence after a two-game winning streak…the Knoxville girls basketball squad will take that streak and put on the line tomorrow night against Oskaloosa. The Panthers and Indians played close for the first three quarters of their first game back on January sixth before the Indians went on a 19-1 run in the fourth quarter to put the game away. Knoxville Coach Jim Utiermarkt says with the new found confidence his girls have…he has confidence that the girls can play with Osky for four quarters. One reason for the back-to-back wins has been the aggressive nature the offense is taking. Utiermarkt says the girls are now starting to get the Flex Offense…and are now willing to penetrate the defense. That in turn gives them opportunities at the free throw line, and a few more looks on the outside when the defense does collapse in the lane.
