The Pleasantville girls and boys basketball teams responded to Friday night’s losses to Nodaway Valley in a positive fashion, notching a pair of non-conference home victories over Albia last night.

The Trojan girls notched their second victory of the season by ripping the Lady Dees for a 48-32 win to improve to 2-9 overall on the season. The Trojan boys, meanwhile, needed an extra four minutes to secure their ninth win of the season – a 61-55 overtime victory against the Blue Demons.

Colin Thomas scored 22 points to lead three Pleasantville players in double figures. The Trojans are 9-1 overall with both teams back in action tonight against Southeast Warren.
