Scott Bruxvoort’s 17 points led four PCM players who scored in double figures, and the Mustangs topped the Pella boys basketball team by six points for the second straight season; picking up a 60-54 win Saturday afternoon in Pella.

The two teams traded leads in the first half, but a PCM basket with 4:34 remaining in the half would put the Mustangs in front for good.  Back-to-back three pointers by the Little Dutch in the fourth quarter pulled Pella to within one, but PCM snuffed out the rally and held on to earn the victory.

Along with Bruxvoort, guard Nate VandeWall had a stand-out afternoon with 16 points.  The Little Dutch were led by an equally-impressive 15-point performance from Sam Davis, and Lucas Boyd added ten points.

The victory moves PCM to 10-2 overall, with a conference clash against Jefferson-Scranton up next on Tuesday.  The Pella boys, meanwhile, slip to 4-3 overall and will also return to their respective league on Tuesday when they host Grinnell.
