The action that happens when a basketball team misses a shot can be just as important as an action that leads to a score, which is to say that rebounding is a crucial element of the game.  With some tall, long bodies and a drive to out-hustle their opponents, the Pella Christian boys basketball team has excelled at cleaning the glass this season.

The Eagles are second in the Little Hawkeye Conference in rebounding, at 29 rebounds per contest, just barely behind conference front-runner Grinnell.  Leading the charge for Pella Christian is Caleb Van Weelden, who averages 8.4 rebounds a game and has become a dominant force in the paint so far.

The Eagles are 5-2 overall and resume play this coming Friday against Newton.
