The Pella Community Foundation has issued its annual grants. The foundation is donating 50,000 dollars, in grants ranging from several hundred to a few thousand dollars for local charitable orginizations. Pella Community Foundation President Jim Brandl tells KNIA/KRLS News that they had requests for about 91 thousand dollars worth of grants, from 37 local nonprofits. He says that they chose 30 of those proposals to receive this years 50,000 dollars.
