Pella Dollars for Scholars had a benefit consignment event over the weekend. Extras Consignment in Pella sponsored and ran the event at the Pella Opera house, where people came out to sell all kinds of formal wear, with 25% of the proceeds going to Pella Dollars for Scholars. According to Jim Palmer, President of Pella Dollars for Scholars, this years event totally eclipsed previous ones as they had 300 more dresses on sale then ever before, putting the number of dresses on sale at somewhere around 700. Palmer says that the final tally of how much money was raised for the scholarship fund is still pending.
