[simage=6868,max,n,center,]Pella Fire Chief Doug Van Gorkom wants to remind people that fire alarms save lives. That’s what he tells KNIA//KRLS News in the wake of this weeks house fire northwest of Pella. He says that in the wake of tragedy’s like that one and the recent fire in Grinnell it’s good to run a test on any smoke detectors you have in the home, whether they are hard wired or battery powered. The cause of the fire at 1815 Elk Horn Court is still under investigation, KNIA/KRLS will update you as soon as more information on the fire becomes official.
