A complete game at both ends led the Twin Cedars girls basketball team to a 51-32 win over Ankeny Christian Academy Saturday afternoon, while the Saber boys saw their win streak snapped in a 68-57 loss to the Eagles.
In the girls’ contest, Ayla Crosby’s 14 points led a trio of Twin Cedars players who reached double figures or better, as the Sabers reached 8-3 overall on the season. The boys, meanwhile, got 18 points from Otis Roby, and a 12-point, 12-rebound performance from Derek Springer, but came up short. They slide to 6-5 overall.
Both teams continue non-conference play with games against Eddyville-Blakesburg tomorrow.
