Negotiations continue to move forward in a positive way between the Knoxville Veterans Alliance and the Department of Veterans Affairs. That’s according to VA Facilities Planning Director David Huffman. Huffman says that the details of the Enhanced Use Lease will continue to be resolved over the next couple months, and that he’s pleased with the progress thus far. Knoxville Manufacturing owner James Washington is co-partner in the Knoxville Veterans Alliance. He has discussed his plan for the VA Campus in the past. It includes an educational component, veterans’ housing, and job creation.
