The Pella Christian girls basketball team overcame a lackluster first half to claim their third victory this week, holding off Des Moines Christian Saturday in a 67-64 overtime victory.

The Lady Eagles were down 35-27 at halftime, and took their first lead by the end of the third quarter; eventually coming back to tie the game at 57-57 to end regulation.  Four players reached double figures in points for the Lady Eagles, with Jasmin Schelhaas tallying a team-best 20 points, Christina Nolte adding 13, and Paige Engbers and Tayler Stursma each putting up 12 points.

With the win, the Pella Christian girls are now 12-2 overall; entering Tuesday’s home game against Grinnell.
