This years Ag in the Classroom day is on Thursday. Mary Van Zante with the Farm Bureau tells KNIA/KRLS News that this year’s event will host about 400 fourth graders from around the county. The children will move in groups through several exhibits and presentations on everything from animal safety, to the inner workings of a combine. Van Zante adds that students really look forward to the event because it’s something they find fun, and they get to leave with a bag full of Ag goodies. She adds that there are several groups that contribute to the activities, and it wouldn’t be possible without sponsors. The event takes place from 9:00 AM -2:30 PM at the Vermeer Global Pavilion this Thursday.
