Mercy Hospital Spokesman Gregg Lagan tells KNIA/KRLS News Knoxville bus driver Annette “Toni” Pitt has been upgraded to fair condition. Pitt was the driver of the bus that was involved Monday afternoon’s accident in rural Knoxville. According to the Iowa State Patrol, the bus she was driving flipped after it was struck by a Toyota Prius that had failed to yield at a stop sign. Pitt was airlifted from the scene. She had been listed in serious condition since the accident. No details were given on a timetable for her release.
