The Central College basketball teams close out the regular season at home this week, starting with a women’s and men’s doubleheader tonight against Simpson College.

The Central women are 6-17 overall and 1-13 in the Iowa Conference, and facing a Simpson squad that is 18-5 overall and 11-3 in the league race. The Storm defeated the Dutch 94-71 in their previous meeting. It’s also “Pink Out” night for the Central women in honor of breast cancer awareness.

In the men’s game, the Dutch are coming off of a thrilling double-overtime win against league front-runner Luther College, and will face a Simpson team that defeated them 89-71 in Indianola on January 16th. The Central men are 16-7 overall and 8-6 in the conference race, which ties them with Simpson and has both teams clinching berths in the six-team league tournament.

Tip-off of the Iowa Conference doubleheader at Kuyper Gymnasium is set for 6:00 p.m. tonight for the women’s contest and 8:00 p.m. for the men’s.
