The Knoxville School Board approved changing the administrative structure at the high school beginning next school year. With assistant principal Joe Ferguson retiring, the Board approved using three deans of students next year at the high school. Ferguson’s replacement will be one dean. High school counselors Caroline Jones and Ashlee Duimstra will be the others. Superintendent Dr. Randy Flack says that each dean will be in charge of discipline and counseling of one-third of the students at the high school, leading to a better chance of building meaningful relationships with the students they work with.
