Too many open weight classes came back to bite the Pella High wrestling team last night, as they were edged 34-33 in a dual at Oskaloosa. The Little Dutch gave the Indians free points at 152, 160 and 170 pounds; and both teams were open at 182 pounds.

Five of Pella’s six wins on the night came by pins, as Zine Stough at 106, David Wiley at 126, Kyle Langstraat at 132, Zakk Belloma at 138 and Houston Naaktgeboren at Heavyweigh all held their opponents to the mat for three consecutive seconds. The Pella wrestlers are off until the District meet on February 11th at Knoxville.
