The educational component of the Gladys Black Eagle Cam is continuing, despite some setbacks at Lake Red Rock. Marion County Naturalist Marla Mertz says that it’s unfortunate that the eagles have chosen to relocate to another nest in the area. She notes that there is hope that another eagle or bird of prey will decide to call it home soon. In the meantime, Mertz says the Deocrah Eagle Nest staff has graciously allowed their nest to be linked onto the Gladys Black website. There is also lots of information about eagles, part of the educational component of the project that area schools are participating in.
