The Knoxville City Council will hold a public hearing on a Tax Increment Finance, or TIF, agreement during their regular meeting Monday evening. Knoxville City Manager Harold Stewart has said the TIF agreement is worth about $550,000 and will help bring a hotel into Knoxville. The Cobblestone Hotel Group has proposed building a 36-room facility worth about $2.6 million west of the Fareway store. The council will also hear an update on the development at the VA among other items. The meeting is at 6:15 Monday evening. You can hear it live on 1320 KNIA.
