One day after clawing to a win, the Knoxville girls basketball squad appeared sluggish and never got on track in a 46-34 loss to Norwalk last night. The Panthers were unable to find the basket as they struggled with their shots going 0-10 from three-point range. Meredith Cunningham led the scoring with 15 points. Knoxville falls to 4-16 on the season and 1-10 in the Little Hawkeye Conference.

The boys ran straight into a Norwalk team that completely shut down the Panthers in the first half. The Warrior defense harassed Knoxville both inside and outside while getting easy looks of their own on their way to a 56-27 win over the Panthers. Coach Jeff Larson says Norwalk’s inside play was dominant. Knoxville would come out in the second half and be a more aggressive team. Erik Ryan led the Panthers with seven points. Knoxville is now 1-18 on the season and 0-11 in the conference.
