In coordination with February being Heart Health Month, Knoxville Hospital and Clinics is hosting a heart clinic on Friday morning. Spokesperson Katrina Nelson says the morning clinic is perfect for people that may not have time normally to ensure their cardiac system is healthy. Cardiac Rehab director Connie Pace says that, as heart disease is the leading cause of death in America, it’s important everyone know their risk factor levels. This includes things such as blood pressure and cholesterol. Those participating in the clinic should not eat or drink after midnight Thursday night. The clinic runs from 6-9am in the hospital lobby.
