The Melcher-Dallas boys basketball team took on Wayne Friday night in a tough non-conference test before the District Tournament, falling to the Falcons 60-27.  

Despite what the final outcome might suggest, the contest was more competitive than a 33-point game, particularly through the first 16 minutes, as the Saints trailed the Falcons 26-18 at halftime.  From there, though, Wayne would turn on the jets and steadily pull away.  

Ross Dawson finished the game with a team-high 15 points and 11 rebounds.  The Melcher-Dallas boys finish the regular season with a 4-16 overall record and will host Seymour on Monday in the opening round of the Class 1A District Tournament.
