Three Knoxville wrestlers took their turns on the state mats yesterday, however only one could come away with a win. Jay Fresh won his second round 113 pound consolation match over Clayton Eicker of West Des Moines Valley. Fresh then lost to Hunter Genco of Clinton and will now wrestle for seventh place today against Bryce Steiert of Waverly-Shell Rock. Fellow Panther Lane Colwell’s season ended with a loss to Brian Warren of Des Moines North/Hoover, as did 152 pounder Tyler Chatterton who lost to Zach Witte of Cedar Rapids Prairie and then fell in his consolation match to Derek Rose of Keokuk.
