At last night’s Pella City Council meeting the board approved several items. They voted to approve engineering services for the West 1st Street reconstruction project, and accepted a resolution accepting professional service agreement terms with Muscatine based PRVN Consulting on the power plant upgrades, among other items. After the regular session ended the council held a policy and planning meeting. The council discussed the preliminary city budget. Under the current proposal for the fiscal year 12/13 budget, the city would keep property taxes at the same rate, and spend approximately 39 million dollars.
