[simage=7045,max,n,center,]Last night the Pella City Council met in special session. The City Council met to discuss the 2012/2013 budget. Pella Electric, the Pella Fire Department, and the Pella Police Department presented their budget proposals to the City Council. Pella Police Chief Robert Bokinski proposed the purchase of a Chevy Tahoe for the department. Bokinski said that one of the things that has surprised him since coming here, is the lack of four wheel drive vehicles at the police department. He said that with the heavy first responder role that the Pella Police Department plays in the community, it’s important that they have vehicles that can always get to emergency scenes no matter what weather is like.
