[simage=7089,max,n,center,]Last night the Pella City Council met in regular session. The council approved a temporary purchase agreement with Missouri River Energy Services, a change order in relation to the Clark Street Substation Project, the rental rate for Community Garden Plots, and the road closures for this years Klompen Classic. The council also met for a policy and planning meeting where they discussed the contract going forward for Pella’s solid waste and recycling. The City Council expressed an interest in acquiring separate recycling containers to streamline the pickup process in the future, although a timeline on that purchase has yet to be determined. The contract with Midwest Sanitation, as currently negotiated, would be almost identical to the previous contract, and will last three years.
