Tonight the Pella Opera House will be hosting a benefit event for Marion County Habitat for Humanity. The “Home Sweet Home dessert Theatre” will feature several bands and desserts catered by Central College. Lisa Houser, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity of Marion County tells KNIA/KRLS News that the dessert element is a new twist to the fundraiser. Several area restaurants will be offering discounted dinner rates for ticket holders prior to the show, so that attendees can eat dinner, and then go to the concert for dessert. Tickets cost a free will donation, and can be purchased at the Pella Opera House. The concerts start at 7:00 PM tonight.
