Making sure to not slip up before postseason play, the Pleasantville boys basketball team dispatched winless Colfax-Mingo 55-24 Thursday night in non-conference play. Hunter Van Haalen scored a game-high 21 points, and Collin Thomas added 14 to lead the Trojans. Pleasantville’s 18-3 overall record earned them a first-round bye in the Class 1A District Tournament. They’ll face either rival Martensdale-St. Mary’s or Iowa Christian Academy on Thursday in Pleasantville.
